Store Setup Overview

Before you set up locations in the app, use this article to review pre-setup tasks, necessary equipment, and preview steps to complete the process.

Prior to Set Up

  1. Organize your space first — before proceeding, review the Inventory Basics to ensure your storage locations are ready. 
  2. Next, Identify the storage locations that will be used to store inventory items, including walk-ins, reach-in fridges, metro racks, cabinets, etc.
  3. This also includes areas where you stack and store boxes, These are counted using a pre-loaded location, called Off-Shelf.

 

Equipment Needed

For this process, you'll need to measure, enter dimensions in the NomadGo App and install various labels at the Locations you set up in-app. Gather all appropriate equipment outlined in the Equipment Checklist. Here are the basic needs:

  • Measuring Tape
  • Label Paper
  • Printer
  • Label Clips
  • Paper and tape (suggested)

Once your Store is organized using the Inventory Basics principles, you will need to set up each storage location in the app with these basic steps:

  1. ⚙️ Open Manage Storage Locations
  2. ➕ Add Storage Location
  3. ✏️ Give your location a clear name (up to 30 characters)
  4. 👆 Select the type of storage unit and label
  5. 📏 Enter the Measurements
  6. 🖨️ Print and place labels
  7. ✅ Validate your location
