Counting with Shelf Labels
While Product Labels and Pick Lists are both printed and attached directly to the counting area, they are used for specific items and products in your store.
Shelf Labels = printed Product and Pick List Labels that are placed directly on the shelf according to the Inventory Basics Guidelines. These are counted while checked into a location.
Lets start with Product Labels:
- Point the viewfinder at a shelf label. A green, on-screen version of the label will confirm detection.
- Move to the next label when all items are detected.
- Optional: Need to make changes? Use the in-app adjustments like the Paddles, Edit or Add Items to modify your count. Read more here
Troubleshooting Tips:
If the printed label and on-screen label do not match, tap the screen and rescan.
Scan Shelf Labels first, then capture items by scanning from top to bottom working right-to-left. This method helps reduce misidentification.
👻 Ghost Labels appear when a label that was previously at the location have been moved/removed. Tap them to delete.
If the label is a Quick List, scanning it will prompt an on-screen popup of pre-set items. You can also search for and add products on the fly.

- Scan the shelf label. Instead of a green label, you'll see a popup appear.
- Review the items in the Quick List popup. Add quantities for all packaging types, or leave them as 0 if they're not present.
- Optional: Use the search tool to find and add any not listed, but necessary for your count.
- Tap Save Changes to submit, then continue your scan.
